Ventilation (Dräger)

Neonatal ventilation is an important part of the care provided in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). But ventilation of preterm infants and neonates presents a significant challenge for even the most experienced caregiver: respiratory failure remains one of the leading causes of neonatal death. Despite the introduction of advanced conventional ventilation, there are still newborns who cannot be properly ventilated. Stunted lungs and underdeveloped respiration require gentle ventilation and advanced technology to prevent lung damage. The purpose of any ventilation strategy is to support the respiratory organs of the preterm infant without causing damage to the lungs or brain. Our ventilation strategies guide newborns and caregivers from the first to the last respiratory challenge on the ventilation journey: and we see it as our job to help you limit lung damage, dysfunction and respiratory work while increasing comfort and keeping the smallest of patients safe. to let grow. Improve Your Results with Volume Guarantee Volume Guarantee is a ventilation mode used to measure tidal volumes and monitor changes in lung characteristics through advanced software algorithms. Volume guarantee has been developed to combine the advantages of pressure-limited ventilation (PLV) and volume-controlled ventilation. Clinical evidence shows that babies who are ventilated with volume guarantee are more likely to survive without lung damage and chronic conditions (see our reference list on “volume guarantee” below). These benefits can also contribute to cost savings in the NICU.
